From Saucy Star to Nun: Emy Buono Reveals Why She’s Leaving the Adult Industry

Emy Buono, the popular model known for her saucy videos, has embarked on a profound life transformation after her content was discovered by her boyfriend’s family. The 25-year-old from Naples, Italy, has decided to abandon her adult content career and enter a nuns’ convent in search of serenity and a more spiritual path.

Buono, who gained notoriety for celebrating her favorite football team, Napoli’s Serie A win in May, revealed her decision to make a drastic change in an interview with Fanpage.it. The tattooed model expressed regret over her involvement in adult platforms and the unintended consequences it brought to her life.

“I regret opening an OnlyFans account. I regret selling pornographic videos. The platform isn’t secure. It didn’t protect me because the paid content I posted went viral and ended up on everyone’s phones. Some of this content was seen by everyone. It even reached my boyfriend’s family, causing me significant problems. I was shocked,” she confessed.

Buono’s journey into the adult content industry led her to a turning point she hadn’t anticipated. Her risqué videos initially meant for profit, became widely accessible, causing personal and familial distress. This revelation led her to reassess her choices and strive for a different path.

She expressed that the leak of her subscriber-only content prompted her to realize the impact of her actions on her loved ones. “As long as these videos stayed on the platform, it was fine, but the fact that they got out and went viral, accessible to everyone, made me realize things,” she acknowledged.

Buono’s pursuit of a more meaningful existence has led her to the Oblate Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus congregation in Sorrento, where she began her period of reflection on August 22. The congregation, founded in the 17th century with a focus on educating underprivileged girls for a life of religion, is familiar to Buono as she had participated in the reality show “Ti spedisco in convento,” the Italian version of “Bad Habits, Holy Orders.”

While she acknowledges that she won’t be taking formal vows, Buono’s decision to explore a life of spirituality in the convent underscores her desire for peace and well-being. “I won’t take vows, but it’s not something I can rule out given how unique I am,” she stated.

Buono’s path, once defined by explicit content and attention-seeking, has shifted towards a quest for inner harmony and distancing herself from judgmental individuals. Despite the challenges she’s faced and the personal struggles she’s endured, Buono draws strength from her mother and supportive partner as she embarks on this unconventional journey of self-discovery and transformation.
